Intimate inn located in the Radda Chianti region below Florence. Off the beaten path but centrally located for day trips into northern and western Tuscany (Siena).
Guido, Martina and house dog Bualo' are gracious, delightful hosts. Superb facilities.
Palazzo Belmonte

Former royal hunting lodge, now a destination resort with superior service and food. Located on Golfo de Salerno below Naples/Salerno in wooded preserve with private beach. Superb sea vistas. Lawn dining under the stars. On a clear night you can see the lights of Capri. Day trips to Amalfi Coast, Paestum Greek ruins. For rest and relaxation , this secluded spot is hard to beat. Book it after Labor Day.

Rooms located in the caldera 400' above the sea in small town of Oia on Santorini. Has gotten pricey but this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience. Best in late May before tourists.

Once a summer home for Marshal Tito. Relais & Chateaux but reasonable. Located on large lake. Easy drive from Ljubljana, Slovenia or Klagenfurt, Austria. Surrounding countryside has several dramatic forests, gorges and water falls. Good site from which to begin trip down Croatian coast to Dubrovnik.
